Liew Seong Kindergarten Project

Launched in April 2025 with a commitment to long-term support, the Liew Seong Kindergarten project is located in Romlek village, Romchek commune, Kampong Cham province. Previously, young children in the area lacked a proper educational space, often gathering to learn under a local house. To give these young learners the safe and inspiring start they deserve, the commune administration and local community rallied together to construct a purpose-built preschool. In deep gratitude for the generous support that brought this vision to life, the community named the facility Liew Seong Kindergarten to honor donor Mr. Kenneth Zhang and his family, facilitated through Green Umbrella Organization.

Funded with 90% support from the Zhang family and 10% from local community matching contributions, the kindergarten is tailored specifically for children aged 3 to 6 years. The 13.2m x 8.5m facility features two spacious, bright, and well-ventilated classrooms equipped with age-appropriate learning materials, alongside dedicated child-friendly restrooms. Built with sustainability and safety at its core, the school’s elevated foundation protects against seasonal flooding, ensuring an uninterrupted and secure environment for play-based and exploratory learning.

Liew Seong Kindergarten provides quality education designed to foster physical, social, emotional, moral, and cognitive development. Moving from makeshift lessons under a private house to a vibrant, fully equipped school, the children of Romchek commune now have a nurturing environment to learn, grow, and prepare for primary school. The community extends its heartfelt thanks to the Zhang family, Green Umbrella Organization, and everyone who helped build a lasting foundation for the next generation.
