Green Umbrella English Center

Green Umbrella English Center provided daily English evening classes to 250 students from primary, secondary and high school, to allow children who cannot afford to pay private school fees to start learning English. This program has now been deprecated in order for GU to focus on new initiatives within the community.

Benefits of this project:

We trained high school students in multiple skills such as English, self-management, leadership and TESOL. They were able to use these skills to develop themselves to be a teacher, a manager, a leader or a professional staff. Some of these students were selected to be English teachers at GU English Center where they received professional development and were able to support their own school expenses through the tuition fees they earned as a teacher.
