Our local Health Care Center covers 11 villages and almost 3,000 families. The facility is small and poorly equipped, with only 8 beds. It struggles to cater for the average of 10 births a month along with addressing the medical needs of so many families in Pot Sar Commune.
Thus a new Health Care Facility has been funded by the friends of Green Umbrella (Dr. Kenneth Zhang & Ms. Mandy Phuong Tran, Madam Ng Yoke Mol and The Ribeiro Family) to enhance the effectiveness of the medical team’s treatment service to patients, especially for mothers giving birth (pre and post-natal care), babies and young children and the elderly.
The new facility has a separate maternity ward, prenatal and postpartum care, and pediatric and eldercare sections. GU hopes to fund new modern equipment to facilitate each of these areas.
