The GU Early Childhood Education Program is focussing on the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development to equip local children below 7 years with early literacy skills. The program is currently supporting 120 K1 and K2 students who attend either a morning or afternoon class.
The holistic and comprehensive learning curriculum ensures a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for young children, fostering their well-being and happiness. This will have a positive impact on the high number of children who reach middle and upper levels at the primary school who have not yet acquired the necessary literacy skills.
Our ECE program will be a model of early childhood learning in the community and is working with other community schools to share best practices through the Community Kindergarten Program, where local kindergarten teachers receive support, professional development, and ample resources for effective learning in the early childhood education program.
Parents and caregivers are educated about the advantages of early education for young children and have the opportunity to participate in workshops and school programs.
