The GU Early Childhood Education program aims to prepare local children from the ages of four to six in the domains of social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.

It intends to provide a holistic and comprehensive developmentally and culturally appropriate early learning program so that children entering Grade 1 in the local public-school system will be better prepared for early literacy skills, giving them a head start to future learning.

This will have a positive impact on the high number of children who reach middle and upper levels at the primary school who have not yet acquired the necessary literacy skills.

The GU ECE program will be a model of early learning in the community working with other schools and with the parents in the community.
