Annual Report 2021
Annual Report 2021
Welcome to our Annual_Report_2021
2022 has seen a great start for Green Umbrella and I’m delighted to share a few of the positives. We have 128 kids, aged 4-6 years, enrolled in our Early Childhood Education Program (ECE). We are working with 76 students in our Youth Program (YP), including our KKS Alumni, to ensure that despite Covid setbacks, they obtain a good education and are well cared for. These are our two key areas of focus for this coming year, and we are honored to have you a part of it.
2021 was a challenging year for us all. Despite this, GU set up three specific projects to address areas of need within our community. These programs are;
a) Food Aid to Poor Families affected by Covid -19. GU distributed Food Kits to 590 families in various rural locations throughout 2021
b) Expansion of the examination and treatment services at Pot Sar Health Center in response to the rising number of people in the community. The expansion also catered for Covid-19 vaccinations for adults and children
c) As part of the Khel Chey Library Project, a new library was built in a nearby village to enable students to continue their studies, especially after the negative impact of Covid-19
Cambodia’s Royal Government has conducted a very successful vaccination campaign that has reached over 89% of the country’s population. As a result, we were able to reopen the school and its operations once GU staff & students were fully vaccinated.
We want to express our gratitude to all of the donors who continued to support Green Umbrella throughout the challenges of Covid-19. We appreciate your ongoing support in 2022 so that we may carry on with our work for children, youths, and our whole community.
